Solange Knowles, Corinne Bailey Ray, Esperanza Spalding, Les Nubians and Juno Temple are featured in an issue of T Magazine in a spread titled ‘Nightie Aphrodites’. The black and white editorial features celebrities with natural hair. The editorial was photographed by Alice O’Malley and styled by Susan Winget.
I love seeing celebrities with natural hair, anyone who actually follows my blog should know my obsession with afros. I lovvveee afrros. I can’t say it enough! And I love seeing celebrities with afros. More girls ought to go natural… really… Anyhow, I won’t go on a Chris-Rock-good-hair rant.
As an aside - I actually have an afro but will only post pictures when I feel satisfied that it is worth posting pictures of (don’t ask). I’ll post them soon though.

Vogue Italia Celebrates Afros with Bettine Mcabe, Grace Bol, Wakeema Hollis, Nastasia Ohl, Yordanos Teshanger
Vogue Italia is the only Vogue Magazine that promotes and celebrates black women and their beauty. It realizes that black women are so under-represented in the fashion industry simply because we apparently ‘do not sell covers’ well enough, as opposed to white models. It’s ridiculous but hopefully it’ll change, there are so many gorgeous black models doing big and getting huge contracts. Makes no sense to me really.
My feature on Vogue.it
I was sooo excited about this (kinda still am), I was photographed with my homie, Kitsi, by Fashion Bomb Daily at the Afro Punk Fest and for some strange yet super cool reason, Vogue Italia saw (and liked the photo).
Kitsi and I sporting some cool afros… I guess they liked that…
